When
Rosy Cole notices how much attention her friend Christi McCurrygets because she
is a beautiful child model, Rosy vows to become one of the
beautiful People too. Her first makeover draws more giggles and
stares than oohs and ahs. Then, with
the help of Christi’s brother, Donald, Rosy finds her new look in an unusual
place: the art museum. Will she now walk “in beauty, like the night” or walk
into a brick wall? Rosy’s attempt to change her image makes for a wise and
witty story about society’s obsession with beauty.
